For a long time the law firm has been engaged in the field of labour law und advises and represents employers as well as employees and works councils in all legal individual and collective labour law matters.
For employers the point of main emphasis of the activity here is the implementation of reorganizations, changes in operations and transfers of the ownership of a company. In addition and especially where insolvency law and labour law meet, the law firm has specific knowledge on the basis of long-standing experience. In this connection topics like restructuring, outplacement and transfer of employees to new companies acc. to sections 216a and b SGB III as well as financial questions regarding money paid to the employees in the case of the employer’s insolvency und its advance financing shall be mentioned.
The counseling and representation of employees in and out of court refers – for instance – to all questions regarding law of contract and protection against dismissal including adjacent questions dealing with unemployment (avoidance of contracts, blocking periods…), claims on remuneration as well as questions regarding modern structures of remuneration, questions regarding the allowance and compensation of vacation, problems with company cars, prohibition of competition during the employment relationship and after its termination, occupational pension scheme, preparation and implementation of old age part-time contracts, assertion of claims to qualified testimonial etc.
The law firm has specific knowledge in counseling of and acting for works councils, especially in personnel and economic matters according to the relevant regulations of the Works Council Constitution Act.
