District court opens insolvency proceedings against BEV

The Munich District Court - Department for Insolvency Matters - opened the insolvency proceedings against the BEV Bayerische Energieversorgungsgesellschaft mbH by order of October 16, 2019 and appointed lawyer Axel W. Bierbach from the law firm Müller-Heydenreich Bierbach & Kollegen (Munich) as the insolvency administrator.

After BEV filed for bankruptcy on January 25, 2019, Axel W. Bierbach had already been appointed provisional insolvency administrator.

“The preparation of the insolvency report took an extraordinarily long time in this exceptional case. Among other things, this was due to the fact that it was only possible to determine whether and to what extent customers still have to make payments for energy deliveries and which customer is the creditor and to what extent, only by preparing final invoices, ”said Bierbach.

With the opening of the insolvency proceedings, the way is now open for the creditors of the BEV to register their claims against the insolvent company in the insolvency table. The court has set a deadline for this until January 10, 2020. The registration process for creditors will be very customer-friendly in electronic form via the website www.bev-inso.de. The reporting date will take place on January 15, 2020 in Munich. More at www.mhbk.de/pressemitteilungen.html
